Deskripsi Perusahaan / Kelembagaan

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.

Our Vision

A resilient world of strong, inclusive, and sustainable growth.

Our Mission

A global transition toward a model of green growth.

While this will be differentiated at the country level, at its core will be strategies that simultaneously achieve poverty reduction, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.

Our Core Values

GGGI’s five core values – Integrity, Transformational, Inclusive, Boldness, and Excellence  provide the guiding framework for the way we work. We will continually engage our people to uphold our values, in order to embed an organizational culture that is innovative, collaborative and focused on delivering results against our mission as “ONE GGGI”.
Our Strategy

Strategy 2030 sets the course for GGGI’s efforts to effectively support its Members needs’ in transforming their economies toward environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive green growth.

The 2015 Paris Agreement calls for a strengthened global response to the threat of climate crisis and deteriorating environmental conditions, seeking to keep a global temperature rise this century to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels. Additionally, the Paris Agreement aims to strengthen the ability of countries to deal with the impacts of climate change combined with their obligations under the 2030 Development Agenda’s Sustainable Development Goals to promote sustainable and inclusive development.

Indonesia - Overall Objective

GGGI’s role and objective in Indonesia is to assist the Government of Indonesia in delivering green growth by developing capacity, driving investment and designing green projects with social, environmental and economic benefits for the people of Indonesia.

Phase 3 of the collaborative Green Growth Program (GGP3 2021-2025) between the Government of Indonesia (GoI) and GGGI, is tailored around the GoI’s own development priorities and targets established in Indonesia’s Medium-term National Development Plan (RPJMN 2021-2024). GGP3 is designed to specifically support the implementation of the Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution to the UNFCCC climate targets (NDC) and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The following priorities stand out as critical areas of support under GGP3:

  • Catalyzing and accelerating access to climate finance; green investments for Indonesia’s economic development
  • Supporting Indonesia in strengthening policy, planning and the regulatory frameworks and institutional capacity to achieve green growth
  • Achieving sustainable and circular bioeconomy while securing healthy natural ecosystems (forests, peatlands, watersheds, and coastal resilience).

Further strategic direction is taken from Indonesia’s Low-Carbon Development initiative (LCDI), led by Bappenas, including for demonstration programs in GGP3’s six focal provinces (Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Papua and West Papua) and in signature landscapes within those provinces. GGGI may occasionally provide support in other provinces at the specific request of national and provincial authorities.
