Senior Chemist Laboratory

To conduct sampling and testing for the Central & RMH Laboratory at Amman Mineral Industri in Sumbawa Island in Indonesia for quality control of Incoming copper concentrate, received from the Batu Hijau mines at RMH, in process materials and output of the Smelter, Electro Refinery Sulphuric Acid-Plant
To record data accurate using digitisation
Conducting sampling and analysis as per quality plan for Smelter including RMH, Electro Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant as well as Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
Preparing shift reports and documentation as per ISO:17025 requirement
Conducting testing at the Central & RMH Laboratory: Sampling of copper concentrate, testing of input, in process and-output material at each stage; Water analysis: Ambient air and noise monitoring: Fire assay. analysis; Wet chemistry and instrument analysis; Sampling and analysis in process samples for copper smelter, Electro refinery, sulphuric acid plant, ETP/WTP; Sampling and analysis finished good ie copper cathode, sulphuric acid
Recording test results and analysis in the integrated Laboratory Management System (LIMS)
Undertaking Method validation, callbration of lab equipment, calibration standard preparation

This Position requires the candidate to possess:

Graduation in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
3-5 years in laboratory of process plants
Understanding of laboratory management system
Understanding of copper smelting and refining operations as well as acid production
Understanding of quality systems
Proficiency in analytical tools and techniques
Understanding of laboratory management system.
Understanding of copper smelting and refining operations as well as acid production
Understanding of quality systems
Proficiency in analytical tools and techniques
Understanding of health-safety and environment
