Through its subsidiary, PT Alamtri Minerals Indonesia Tbk (IDX: ADMR), the company engages in metallurgical coal mining. ADMR holds five coal mining concession agreements (PKP2B) located in East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. Metallurgical coal is a crucial raw material for steel production. ADMR’s metallurgical coal products are marketed under the "Enviromet" brand, known for their low ash and phosphorus content, as well as high vitrinite levels, making them an excellent blend for other metallurgical coals in coking production.
To support Indonesia’s mineral downstreaming program, ADMR is also developing a mineral processing business by constructing an aluminum smelter currently under construction in North Kalimantan.
The company, through its subsidiary PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS), operates a mining services business. SIS is one of Indonesia's largest mining contractors, offering various mining services, including mine planning and operations, mining equipment provision, construction work, equipment rental services, machinery repair services, and other mining-related services.
Additionally, the company operates in the renewable energy sector through its subsidiary PT Alamtri Renewables Indonesia. Renewable energy projects are part of the company’s initiatives to support green economic growth in Indonesia. Some of the company's renewable energy projects include a solar power plant (PLTS) in Central Kalimantan and the construction of a hydropower plant (PLTA) in an industrial area in North Kalimantan.

PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk is a fully integrated coal mining and energy company from exploration through to power. It is Indonesia’s second-largest thermal coal producer, operates the largest single coal mine in Indonesia and is a significant supplier to the global seaborne thermal coal market with production volume of 47.2 million tonnes in 2012. The coal characteristics are sub-bituminous, medium heat value and ultra-low pollutant coal, with total resources of up to 12.3 billion tonnes and total reserves of 1.1 billion tonnes (JORC Compliant 2012). Because of its environmental characteristics, Adaro Indonesia’s coal is trademarked as “Envirocoal” and has proven global acceptance among blue-chip power utilities.
The Change of Company's Name for a Greener Future
In the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held on 18th of November 2024. The shareholders approve the change of the Company’s name to PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk.
The plan to change the Company’s name is among the Company’s initiatives to introduce its new identity as a parent entity that will have a stronger focus on green businesses and development of environmentally-friendly projects through the Adaro Minerals and Adaro Green business pillars, following the separation from the thermal coal mining business pillar and several supporting businesses through the Public Offering by the Existing Shareholders ( “POES”) mechanism.
