PT ASMIN KOALINDO TUHUP (AKT) is a coal mining company with its concession located in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Our vision is to be the world’s best producer of premium coking coal. We invite the best and brightest professionals to bring their skills and expertise to our team, to grow together with us, to work in compliance with international standard systems to ensure that principals of Good Mining Practice are implemented and maintained. AKT was first established on 11 September 1992 named PT Swabara Guna, and changed its name to AKT on 25 February 1998. AKT was granted a 3rd generation Coal Contract of Work (CCOW) by the Indonesian Government on 31 May 1999. AKT was incorporated as a domestic owned company (PMDN) and subsequently became a foreign owned company (PMA) in 2005, AKT reverted to PMDN status in 2008 and there are no further requirements for divestment. PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal Tbk gained full management control of AKT through the acquisition of 30% of the shares of the company in October 2007. It acquired a further 70% of AKT shares in December 2009.

AKT pertama kali didirikan pada 11 September 1992 dengan nama PT Swabara Guna, dan berubah nama menjadi AKT pada tanggal 25 Pebruari 1998. AKT mendapatkan Perjanjian Pengusahaan Pertambangan Batubara (PKP2B) dari Pemerintah Indonesia pada tanggal 31 Mei 1999. AKT didirikan sebagai sebuah perusahaan dalam negeri (PMDN), kemudian berubah status menjadi sebuah perusahaan milik asing (PMA) pada tahun 2005, dan mengembalikan status menjadi PMDN pada tahun 2008 dikarenakan tidak ada persyaratan / ketentuan lebih lanjut terkait divestasi. PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal Tbk menguasai manajemen AKT secara penuh melalui akuisisi 20% saham AKT pada Oktober 2007, dan kembali mengakuisisi lebih lanjut 70% saham AKT pada bulan Desember 2009.
