IoT Embedded Engineer

Job Summary:

1. Software development and integration role on multi threaded embedded C and C++ product software code bases for IoT
2. Support the design and development of embedded software solutions and communications products
3. Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution and certification support
4. Analyzes requirements, identifies required work and estimates development tasks
5. Works in conjunction with hardware and systems engineering teams to ensure the solution meets operational requirements
6. Creates product documentation inputs for technical writers
7. Work with the manufacturing organization to make sure new product firmware and features are smoothly integrated into production
8. Help provide training for service and application groups
9. Other duties as required

Experience and Skills:
Required:

1. 3+ years (or equivalent) of related software and firmware development
2. C/C++ application development for embedded systems
3. Experience with various version management systems
4. Experience with real time programming and development
5. Agile and OO knowledge and programming experience
6. Flexible and able to learn and use new technologies
7. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently and get things done
8. Familiar: Linux as development platforms
9. Familiar with hardware interfacing techniques for sensor inputs and stepper motor control

Preferred:

1. Development experience with embedded Linux
2. IoT application development experience
3. TCP/IP / Wireless stack implementation experience
4. Cross-platform Linux programming experience (Intel and ARM)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent is required

Must have skills

• Linux, C++, C (Programming Language)
