PT Bina Megah Indowood is a market leader in its specialised field, providing high quality solid wood flooring, with a choice of thicknesses to cover different needs. PT Bina Megah Indowood (BMI) was established in 2005 with an objective to redefine the wood-working industry’s quality, innovation and sustainability standards in Indonesia. For more than 15 years, BMI has been one of the leading exporter and wholesaler of timber products.
Located in Indonesia, our factory was built in 2007 covering a land area of over 40,000 sq ft and employs over than 250 workers. With tight factory production control procedures in place, our products carry the assurance of consistently high quality with the promise of on-time delivery.
With an area of expanding more than 6 HA and a workforce of over 400 people, we aim to provide sustainable timber of the highest quality. With customers from over 11 different countries, our products are able to meet each individual requirements and standards. All our products are produced locally, chosen from FSC® ensured forests across Indonesia that are environmentally sustainable.
BMI as a team is environmentally conscious and strictly values the importance of legal and sustainable timber sources in Indonesia. We are committed to only provide legally registered timber in order to sustainably keep the local habitats, environment and people across different concessions. We are proud to be one of the only providers of FSC®, FSC®-C125616 certified various timbers including Merbau, Teak, Mahogany and Merkusii Pine. We are also honored to be the first in line to be registered as SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi dan Legalitas Kayu) certified manufacturer in Indonesia.
BMI’s GLULAM (Glued Laminated Timber) products range from indoor to outdoor applications. For our outdoor applications, we ensure that our finger joint and laminating has met all the compliance to be a structural material. This is done by our finger joint and laminating technology that exceeds traditional strength using Merbau (850kg/m3) as one of the toughest building material available and by utilising a service class 3 adhesive system. with the GLTAA logo.
Our outdoor products have met all the compliance requirements of the GLTAA (Glued Laminated Timber Association of Australia). Each of our post and beam complies to Australian & New Zealand Standard 1328 (AS/NZS 1328) and can be seen from our label with the GLTAA logo.
