Bumi Laut Group, which traces its origins to 1922 in Indonesia, at the Port of Belawan Deli, North Sumatra, today consists of several independent operating companies focusing on respective areas of the above mentioned business activities (shipping) and is Headquartered in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia with an extensive network of branch offices all over Indonesia as well as other parts of Asia. It has business associations and strategic alliances worldwide.

The Bumi Laut Group is a well-established and dynamic growing business enterprise, whose origins traces way back to 1922 when its first office was opened in the Port of Belawan, North Sumatera, Indonesia, which was at one time the largest natural commodity exporting port of Southeast Asia.

The Bumi Laut Group is one of the oldest shipping companies in Indonesia with business interests as Ship-Owners, Ship-Operators, Ship-Managers, Ship-Agencies, Ship-Brokers, Ship-Maintenance & Repair, Shipping Services, as well as in the Marine & Maritime Industry, Energy, Defense, Agriculture, Resource-Based Industries, Logistics, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, Trucking, Warehousing & Depot-Activities, General Contractors, Trading and Strategic Investments.
