Berdiri pada tahun 1981, PT. Arutmin Indonesia adalah salah satu perusahaan pertambangan batu bara generasi pertama dengan kantor pusat berlokasi di area Kecamatan Setiabudi Kota Jakarta Selatan Provinsi Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta. Sebagai anak usaha dari PT Bumi Resources Tbk, PT. Arutmin Indonesia beroperasi di bawah payung hukum Izin Usaha Pertambangan Khusus (IUPK)

PT. Arutmin Indonesia beroperasi di Kalimantan Selatan dan menjadi pemasok utama batu bara untuk pembangkit listrik serta industri global dengan brand Ecocoal, produk batu bara kalori rendah yang ramah lingkungan.

Dengan kapasitas produksi hingga 20 juta ton per tahun, wilayah operasi entitas bisnis ini tersebar di tiga kabupaten di Kalimantan Selatan, yakni Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu, Tanah Laut, dan Kotabaru. Arutmin mengelola lima lokasi tambang (Senakin, Satui, Kintap, Asamasam, dan Batulicin) dan satu terminal batu bara di pesisir utara Pulau Laut, Kabupaten Kotabaru, Kalimantan Selatan yaitu North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal (NPLCT) yang berstandar internasional.
