The Company was incorporated in Jakarta in 1981 aimed engaging itself in the business of developing housing and commercial building areas. In 1984, the Company began developing Melati Mas Residence (formerly Villa Melati Mas). In 2000, company's shareholder, PT. Gama Nusapala bought company's ownership from PT. Misori Utama and PT. Indokisar Djaya. This changed ownership was also followed by the same change to the company's management. And as the company Management changes, In 2005, the company changed its name from PT. Internusa Artacipta into PT. Karya Cipta Putra Indonesia!

PT Cowell Development Tbk is one of the leading property developers in Indonesia, specializing in the mid high-end property development. Established on March 25th, 1981, the Company has been constantly delivering and creating unique and quality products to meet the market demands. Initially established as PT Internusa Artacipta, the Company changed its name in 2005 to PT Karya Cipta Putra Indonesia. In 2007, the Company finally changed its identity to PT Cowell Development Tbk.

Over the years, the Company has undertaken high quality projects. The Company commenced its first project in 1984, developing Melati Mas Residence (formerly known as Villa Melati Mas), a residential property located in Serpong, South Tangerang. In the subsequent years, the Company expanded its coverage to apartment and commercial building development projects.

Today, the Company portfolio consists of five residential properties, namely Melati Mas Residence, Serpong Park, Serpong Terrace, Laverde, and Borneo Paradiso, and multi-storey buildings such as Westmark, The Oasis, and Lexington Residence. The Oasis and Borneo Paradiso are developed under the mixed-use concept, which combines residential, commercial, and supporting facilities in one sizeable area.
