Mustika Ratu was born from a desire to share Indonesia’s cultural heritage through a various of high quality products and natural treatments.
Founded more than 40 years ago in an effort to preserve a cultural heritage, today Mustika Ratu has become one of the largest and leading beauty companies in Indonesia.
The traditional herbal medicine (jamu) and cosmetics formulated by Mooryati Soedibyo in 1975 received a warm welcome from her friends and relatives, who became her first loyal customers.
PT Mustika Ratu started operating on 14 March 1978 and gained good reputation as a manufacturer of traditional jamu and beauty products.
Mustika Ratu began to receive large orders following an increasing market demand. The first Mustika Ratu factory was built on 8 April 1981 in Ciracas, East Jakarta.
Mustika Ratu went public by holding an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and listing its shares on Indonesia Stock Exchange.
In 1996, Mustika Ratu obtained several quality certifications, namely ISO 14001 and ISO 9002.
2000 - Mustika Ratu started to expand product distribution and offer spa franchise opportunities to Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
2018 - Mustika Ratu continued to spread its wings through market penetration in countries such as Canada, USA, China, Iraq, New Zealand, Bulgaria, and many others.
