Sekolah Ciputra, established in 1996, is an IB World School, authorized since 2004 by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to develop and deliver courses within the framework of the IB Primary Years Programme (Kindergarten – Year 6), IB Middle Years Programme (Years 7-10) and the IB Diploma Programme (Years 11-12).

Founded in 1996 Sekolah Ciputra is a highly regarded International Baccalaureate Organisation IBO Continuum School. Continuum schools are accredited to deliver an IBO education to students throughout their schooling career studying the Primary Years Programme, (PYP) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (IBDP). Sekolah Ciputra is also a fully accredited Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) school which means the school is deemed to meet the highest international standards. The school has Satuan Pendidikam Kerjasama (SPK) status meaning that it is allowed to teach an international curriculum. Each of the five sections of the school has an A rating-the highest possible. Finally, Sekolah Ciputra is a full member of the East Asian Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS.)  Sekolah Ciputra demonstrates a commitment to excellence both nationally and internationally.

Our school motto is Non-Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus : We learn not for school but for life. This affirms our commitment to life-long learning in a real world context. Our curriculum is broad and balanced with programmes that support the growth of the developing child, encompassing their academic, ethical, social, physical, emotional and cultural needs. Students are guided to become independent learners and well-rounded individuals who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to prepare them for life in the 21st century. The school actively teaches good manners with the expectation that they will be kind, polite and possess strong self-management skills. We place child protection at a premium and ensure the highest standards in policy, process and staff recruitment.  With students from twenty different nationalities speaking nineteen different family languages Sekolah Ciputra truly celebrates cultural diversity.

Sekolah Ciputra’s facilities are internationally first class. Every classroom at Sekolah Ciputra has a Smart Board or large screen smart TV and every teacher at the school has completed training to ensure effective use of technology. Ciputra Hall, our Performing Arts Centre, is capable of seating 710 and uses state of the art technology, to serve the students of Sekolah Ciputra as well as the wider community. The school also boasts wonderful facilities for research, technology, entrepreneurship and sustainability. We have an active building and maintenance programme.

In the last few years, teams of our students have competed in the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) locally, in Bangkok, Dubai, Melbourne and Singapore at the Regional Rounds, as well as to the US for the Tournament of Champions at Yale. Sekolah Ciputra also hosts the Surabaya round of the WSC, the Model United Nations and a large number of national and international competitions.  The school organises and annual overseas university trip for students in the High School. Students can learn a musical instrument at school from qualified tutors, enjoy a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and, of course, play many different sports both internally and as representatives of the school.  Academically, we go from strength to strength, with outstanding results in both the MYP and IB diploma programme well above the world average.
