Principal Mining Engineer

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering and other related fields
• Minimum 10 years experience in Mine Plan
• Preferably a Reserves Competent Person (AusIMM, KCMI, etc.)
• High proficiency levels in mine planning software such as Surpac, Mineshed, Alastri, Whittle and other mine planning softwares.

Job Description:

• Preparation of all mine planning aspects required for a reliable and optimized Life of Mine Schedule and Designs:

1. Well-defined, attainable, and reliable pit and dump designs
2. Costs and physicals associated with and required for the pit optimisation process
3. Other earthwork designs required to ensure delivery of the Life of Mine plan
4. Cost and physical calculations necessary for planning inputs

• Effective communication within the Technical Group and Mine operations

1. Alignment of inputs of strategic plans to the site
2. Understand the requirements of operations to be included in optimizations and designs
3. Plans are well handed over and understood by stakeholders

• Maintenance of and further development of tools for the measurement of planning performance and plan compliances across all aspects of the business
• Assist in the development of process flows aligned with business needs
• Develop, plan, implement, and oversee strategies for continuous improvement in the Mine Planning area
